OK everybody!

I had posted this topic before on the other old Sports Sucks forum back in November 2012 after the Presidential Election of Obama, for which I'm very happy, and proud!

And so . . . I decided to post it again here before the old forum closes down on January 2013 because this one is a real keeper!

Anyway . . . . .

So very often . . . Oh! So very very often, we have all noticed, that when the sports fan's favorite football team has won the big game of the season, the sports fans all jump up and down like excited little Kindergarteners, and shout out . . . . .

YEA!!! WE DID IT!!!

NO! NO! NO! You fuck-tards!!! You didn't do shit!!! It was the guys playing out in the field in the hot sun! They did it! All you did was just sit on your ass, watching the game, eating greasy fried foods, clogging up your arteries, and swilling down that cheap Buckhorn beer which smells like tar-paper torn off a shit-house roof!

Oh! But when your favorite football team loses the big game of the season, you NEVER say . . . . .

AW GEE! WE LOST!

No, instead, you say . . . OH SHIT, THEY LOST THE BIG GAME! THEY BLEW IT!

Or some shit like that!

Yeah! when your team wins, it's YEA! WE DID IT! But when your team loses, then it's AW GEE! THEY LOST! So, when your team wins, it's WE, and when your team loses, it's THEY!

Well, I'm very happy that The Big Bad Obama Man won his 2012 re-election as President!

And, I can proudly proclaim . . . . .

YEA!!! WE DID IT!!!

OK, at the very least, one can do, is to go out and vote.

But, some of us Democrats, we do more than just going out to vote.

Some of us make contributions to the election campaign.

And in addition to that, some of us do unpaid volunteer work, hanging out at the local Democratic Headquarters, making phone calls.

Well, that is what I have done!

For about a couple of months before Obama got re-elected, I had been hanging out at my local Democratic Headquarters on Tuesdays and Thursdays, doing unpaid volunteer work, making phone calls to people in Florida. Then after 7:00 PM, we can't call Florida anymore, because when it's 7:00 PM here in El Paso, Texas, it is 9:00 PM in Florida.

Hey Republicans! That's because the earth is round and keeps turning all the time! Which of course you probably didn't know. And by the way, the earth is 4.5 billion years old, and NOT 6,000 years old! OK? And it's round and keepson turning! Got it?

Anyway . . . . .

After 7:00 PM, when we can't call Florida anymore, then we call people here in El Paso and stop at 9:00 PM.

Florida was one of the critical swing states, and I'm happy to say, we won Florida.

Then I go home, and sometimes I don't get home until after 10:00 PM, by which time, I'm usually very tired.

Also . . . . .

In addition to working at my local Democratic headquarters, over the past year I have donated money to The Obama Campaign, making donations on line to OBAMA FOR AMERICA and also to ACT BLUE!!!

OK, I have been checking my on line bank account, and going back over the months to see just how much I have contributed to the Democratic Campaign.

The reason why I'm able to make these contributions is because I got rid of my crappy Cable TV which was all crap, and nothing but crap, and it was costing me over $85 dollars per month, and the cost kept going up.

So, I said fuck that shit! And now that I don't have crappy cable anymore, I have a little extra money to do stuff.

The total amount I have contributed to ACT BLUE is $139.80 since July. I usually make $5 dollar or $3 dollar donations with a 20% percent tip.

So, the total amount I have contributed is $144 + $139.80 = 283.80 during this 2012 Presidential Election year.

But then, I made a few more donations to ACT BLUE a week after the election was over. That is because some Democratic congress persons were coming under vicious attacks from cry-baby Republicans demanding a recount while the last of the votes were still coming in.

I also signed petitions supporting these guys and gals who were being viciously attacked.

Anyway, here are the donations I made after the election was over.

OK. Now what if the Democrats had lost to the Republicans?

Well, win or lose, I would still take full ownership.

If Obama had lost, instead of saying "Oh shit! They lost!" I would be saying "Oh shit! We lost!" so it would still be WE and not THEY.

And naturally, I would be very unhappy about this, and perhaps blaming myself for not doing more.

But, we Democrats won, and for that, I'm very happy and contented.

Of course, I acknowledge that some of my fellow Democrats have done more than I have. Some have contributed more money than I have, and some even went out knocking on doors.

I had done all I can, to the very best of my ability, and I am happy with what I have helped to accomplished, however little it might be compared to what some others have done.

But, I have not been sitting on my fat ass doing nothing. I did something!!!

I have done more than just go out to vote.

I have done unpaid volunteer work making phone calls from my local Democratic Headquarters, and have come home very tired, but also very happy! I love the work I had done, and I never expected to get one red cent for my efforts. In fact, it has cost me money, which I was more than happy to give, to help my dear President Obama win his 2012 re-election.

So, again . . . I can say . . . . .

YEA!!! WE DID IT!!!

You sports fans can't say that. But I can!
