What's Worse than Ashes Test Series Cricket? - TWO Ashes Test Series in ONE Year!
As if cricket isn't boring enough already, they had to go and invent that coma-inducing snore-fest known as The Ashes. At least it only happens once every second year though, usually. But for some strange reason, they are having TWO Ashes series in ONE year, this year.
So that's 25 days of a 7.5 hour daily broadcast - i.e. BOREcast - spaced out over 6.5 weeks, TIMES TWO now!
So that's 13 weeks of Ashes this year.
Pardon me while I go watch some paint dry.

OK, I just clicked on the Wikipedia link to The Ashes.
The Ashes urn (made of terracotta and about
15 cm (six inches) tall) is reputed to contain a
burnt cricket bail.
Oh! Whoop de fuckin' doo!
If you were to give all these sports fan retards an enema just before they die, you could bury them all in a matchbox!

You know, some of these fans will be glued to every single minute of the entire 375 hours of Ashes borecast. I think even if I had to end up living in an iron lung for the rest of my life, I would still manage to find something better to do with my time than become a drooling sports zombie!

During my summer job a few people would talk about the Ashes, I would always smile and nod my head. I still don't understand how people enjoy it.
But, BFH, it's all about the PRESTIGE and PRIDE which is important for... some reason.

Yeah! PRESTIGE and PRIDE! Yeah! Uh huh! Sports fans take great pride and have great feelings of prestige by living vicariously through the (accomplishments?) of their favorite sports heroes!
And here in the USA, just about any redneck with his beer gut hanging down over his belt and his pants half-way down on his ass, living in a single-axle trailer home, swilling down that cheap Buckhorn beer that smells like wet tar-paper torn off a shit-house roof, also feels that he has accomplished something when his favorite team wins the big game of the season.
Then he proudly proclaims "YEA! WE DID IT!!!" when he didn't do shit!
All he did was just sit there like a drooling slack-jawed moron watching a game on the boob tube!
Last year, I actually accomplished something far more important, doing unpaid volunteer work at my local Democratic Headquarters, and donating money toward the 2012 Obama re-election campaign, and signing petitions on line. From February up to the November re-election, I had donated about $360 dollars. About $50 dollars of that went to Union of Concerned Scientists.
Of course, many people out there contributed a lot more. So, I only did a small part by comparison.
But, even a small accomplishment is better than no accomplishment at all.
At least I did my part.
But what do sports fans accomplish, and what dose sports contribute?
NOTHING! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
But, thanks to sports, every mud-licking scum-bag piece of shit down in the gutter can live vicariously through the (accomplishment?) of their favorite sports heroes!
Yeah! Sports is just something to make low-down losers, who aren't worth shit, feel good about themselves!
