THE TAC (Transport Accident Commission) is reviewing its partnership with Twenty20 team, Melbourne Stars, after captain Shane Warne was busted for speeding in Scotland.
The road safety body said Warne would not have been involved in the launch of its latest road safety campaign, Home Safely, if it had known about the speeding charge.
Warne was charged with allegedly doing 165km/h (102 mph) in a 112km/h (70 mph) zone in a Jaguar XFR V8 in September.
TAC acting chief executive officer Tracey Slatter said the commission was very disappointed it had not been aware of the incident when the campaign was launched last month.
"Speeding is unacceptable, particularly at the high level of speed that is alleged," she said.
"The TAC's partnership is with the Melbourne Stars, not Mr Warne.
The TAC will be discussing the speeding allegations with the Melbourne Stars."
Warne could not be contacted last night.
