A is for . . . . .

Well . . . I believe it was Earl who originated this topic in the old forum, so . . . I decided to recreate this topic here in our new forum.
And, since Astronomy is my absolute favorite topic, I shall start my saying . . . .
A is for ASTRONOMY!!!
The inner planets
The outer planets
The Sun and all the planets
Our puny little Sun, compared to some much bigger stars! But, there is more!
Our teeny tiny little Sun compared to some even much bigger stars!
And our Sun, and all for these stars are among a few hundred billion other stars that make up our Milky Way Galaxy.
The Andromeda Galaxy, about 2 million light years away, is a typical spiral galaxy, the nearest
next galaxy from us. Most galaxies are billions and billions of light years away!
And so, in conclusion . . . . .
Now, I think this is really cool!!!
And, since Astronomy is my absolute favorite topic, I shall start my saying . . . .

(By the way, I know that what I'm about to say has absolutely nothing to do with this game; but I must say this, anyway. So many of the A2K members pride themselves as being well-informed; yet not even a single post, let alone a topic, has been posted on the Steubenville scandal. Nothing at all! Ever since that horrible video was released, I've run site searches on "Steubenville" . . . Absolutely nothing and absolutely pathetic!
Oh, well, back to the game.)

L is for (Nikolai Ivanovich) Lobachevsky (1792-1856), who developed a form of non-Euclidean geometry, which resulted in people rioting in the streets. Imagine: people rioting over math, not football.
