OK, fear of the number 13 is called, Triskaidekaphobia.
Fear of Friday 13th is called, Paraskavedekatriaphobia.
And fear of the number 666 is called, Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia.
Ronald Reagan and his wife also had Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia, the fear of the number 666.
After Ronald Reagan wasn't President anymore he and Nancy Reagan moved to 666 St. Cloud Road in Bel Air, California which Ronald lived in until his death. Nancy had the address changed from 666 to 668 due to the fact 666 is known as the devil's number. The house is down the street from 805 St. Cloud Road, the house used in the TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990).
Oh! And incidentally, 666 in the 36th triangular number in the series of triangular numbers, like . . . . .
3, 6, 10 (Bowling pins), 15 (A rack of Billiard balls) 21, 28, etc. etc. etc.
The 36th triangular number is . . . . .
1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12+13+14+15+16+17+18+19+20+21+22+23+24+25+26+27+28+29+30+
31+32+33+34+35+36=666
There is a quicker way to add up numbers, using this algebraic formula.
The sum of the numbers S is equal to . . . S= n(n+1)/2
so, to calculate the 36th triangular number you use . . .
S= 36(36+1)/2 = 36x37/2 = 1332/2 = 666
I still have some of my old math books from when I attended NMSU back in the 1970s.
Oh! And on FOX NEWS, some idiot said that teaching algebra was part of come left-wing Communist conspiracy!
